I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Texas at El Paso, and a Master of Counselling Psychology from City University, Vancouver.

I have twelve years of experience working alongside individuals and families who have been impacted by various mental health concerns and challenging life circumstances. Over the last four years I have been practicing as a Registered Clinical Counsellor in both private practice and community.

As a counsellor my ideas and values are rooted in humility, compassion and understanding, and my approach is largely informed by humanistic and existential teachings. With this in mind, I pride myself on meeting all clients - regardless of presenting problem, background, or experience - where they are.

I believe that the counselling process is a collaborative one and that feeling connection, value and respect is crucial in order to support individuals and couples towards physical, emotional and mental well-being.

In a society that bombards us with expectations, ideals and norms, which are often absorbed on an unconscious level, therapy provides the time and space to reflect, and analyze how we truly feel about and fit within them. It can help you move into greater comfort with yourself and within relationships with others, ultimately allowing you to live a more empowered and meaningful life.

To begin such a process requires a great deal of courage, and I am dedicated to creating a safe and supportive space for you to begin this unique and personal journey.
